"At the Sary-Shagan test site ... the next test launch of a new missile of the Russian anti-missile defense (ABM) system was successfully carried out," TASS informs with reference to the press service of the country's Defense Ministry.

According to Major General Sergei Grabchuk, commander of the VKS anti-missile defense formation, a series of tests helped to confirm the characteristics of the anti-missile.

He added that the combat crews completed the task, "hitting a conditional target with a given accuracy."

On April 26, the Russian Aerospace Forces successfully carried out a test launch of a new missile defense system at the Sary-Shagan training ground (Kazakhstan).
