In the report against Martin Wannholt (D), nine people claim that he has embezzled money from a forest company in Brazil, Brasilteca, for which he was previously a partner and administrator.

He must also, according to the report, have transferred money from the company to relatives.

In addition, the complainants believe that Wannholt lied about the assets in the company.

This week, Wannholt's Brazil deals have received a lot of media attention after prosecutors decided to resume the preliminary investigation.

Martin Wannholt is a municipal councilor and party leader for the Democrats, who in the 2018 election became the second largest party in Gothenburg.

He denies all charges.

The preliminary investigation will now be completed.

Prosecutors then decide whether to prosecute or not.
