Lukashenko: Belarus is ready to help in the reconstruction of Afghanistan

“Our country is ready to assist in restoring the Afghan infrastructure, ensuring food supplies,” TASS quoted the Belarusian president as saying.

He noted that the involvement of Afghanistan in the development of regional infrastructure "is critically important for increasing the level of connectivity between Central and South Asia, as well as the SCO economic space as a whole."

Earlier, Russian leader Vladimir Putin, speaking via videoconference at the SCO summit, spoke about the possibility of resuming the activities of the SCO-Afghanistan contact group.
