A truck driver lost his life this Thursday in Grand-Quevilly, near Rouen (Seine-Maritime).

The man was found unconscious at the foot of his truck around 7 a.m., reports 76actu.

Supported by firefighters and Samu, the 39-year-old driver from the Somme could not be resuscitated.

An ongoing investigation

The body of the victim was located near a road restaurant located on the edge of the expressway.

According to the investigators responsible for the first investigations, the track of natural death would be ruled out.

The man could have been struck by a vehicle, according to the findings of the forensic identity on the spot.

"An investigation is underway to find the causes of death," said the prosecutor of the Republic of Rouen, Frédéric Teillet.
