Anna Jansson lives in Örebro has written over 60 books, her police heroine Maria Wern celebrated her 20th anniversary last year.

Over the past twenty years, this popular and prolific author has written over 60 books, which in total have sold more than five million copies in Sweden alone, and have been published in 16 other countries.

Her well-written detective story not only contains clever crime mysteries, but also shows what a great heart and eye the author has for human relationships. ”

Crimetime Award This year's honorary award was established in 2016 and is awarded to an author or other person who has been a pioneer in Swedish crime literature and has put Sweden on the detective map.

Previous winners include Håkan Nesser, Jan Mårtenson and Liza Marklund.

In 2019, the Anna Jansson Culture Prize was awarded in Hjalmar Bergman's memory.
