Completion of circumnavigation and radial rendezvous experiments, successfully verified the radial rendezvous technology, and laid an important technical foundation for subsequent manned missions.
In the follow-up, the Shenzhou 12 manned spacecraft will re-enter and return as planned, and the astronauts Nie Haisheng, Liu Boming, and Tang Hongbo are about to set off to return to the embrace of the motherland.
Sun Jun, Chief of Mission of the Space Station of the Beijing Aerospace Flight Control Center, said that the radial rendezvous and docking is very different from the previous backward docking and forward docking. There is a deviation in the upper direction, and the forward and backward docking are on the same horizontal plane of the track, so its movement is relatively stable.
Due to the deviation of the track height, the speed at different heights is different, so the radial docking process is highly dynamic.
Sun Jun said that in the future, the rotation of the astronaut crew will be carried out, and then two spacecraft will be docked to the space station at the same time.
Therefore, this method needs to be carried out during rotation to improve the channels and means for us to enter the space station.
