An elderly man with diabetes in Skåne had problems with his feet and a toe was about to fall off.
A nurse who was called to the man by the home care service then chose to cut off the toe with an ordinary kitchen scissors, reports P4 Kristianstad.
The nurse's actions have now been reported to the Swedish Health and Care Inspectorate (Ivo).
The man suffered from blood poisoning due to the operation and needed hospital care.
