On the evening of September 15, local time, a train crashed into a car at a railway crossing in Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, causing 101 trains to be suspended, and approximately 22,000 trips were affected.

  The car was severely damaged due to the violent impact and was directly hit into a nearby train station.

  The accident caused injuries to the driver and two train passengers.

Regarding the cause of the accident, the driver of the car said, “I pulled the handbrake and turned around to take something (from the back seat), and when I recovered, I found that I was already on the railway.”
