From 15 October, employees who arrive at the workplace without a green pass will be considered "unjustified absentees". If, on the other hand, they are found in the workplace without a vaccination passport - for example, having entered by escaping the controls - then they will also be fined. The penalties - from 600 to 1,500 euros - will also be applied to employers who do not carry out the checks. Anyone who does not have the Green pass will still have the "right to retain the employment relationship". For pharmacies there is the obligation of controlled prices for tampons, free only for those who cannot get the vaccine.

Among the main innovations, a scissor cut from the times of the green pass. According to the draft arrived on the CDM table, it will no longer be necessary to wait 15 days from the first dose of anticovid vaccine to get the green pass but it will be obtained immediately after the first administration.

The data

To date, according to government data,

13.9 million workers

already have the Green pass,

4.1 million

still do not: the obligation would therefore affect a total of about 18 million people.

Furthermore, according to the data of Commissioner Figliuolo, we would be close to "social immunity": accelerating now on the Pass in the workplace, serves to get closer to a "safety point" in 3 or 4 weeks, by mid-October to get vaccination complete with 44 million people, 81.7% of the audience.

The measures, anticipated by the trade unions yesterday at the end of the ad hoc meeting with the government, and substantially confirmed by the control room that preceded today's council of ministers, were illustrated, in a meeting held in the early afternoon, also to the local authorities that have urged the government to extend the validity of the swabs to 72 hours by asking the Technical Scientific Committee to express an opinion.
