Announcing a Sovereign Investment Partnership between Mubadala and the British Department of Commerce worth 10 billion pounds

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson witnessed the signing ceremony of a partnership agreement between Mubadala Investment Company and the United Kingdom's Department of International Trade for sovereign investment between the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom worth 10 billion pounds.

The agreement was signed at the headquarters of the British Prime Minister.. Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority, Managing Director and CEO of the Group, Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, and Minister of Investment at the Ministry of International Trade, Lord Gerry Grimstone. The agreement aims to expand the scope of the sovereign investment partnership between the two countries, which was announced during the month of March 2021.

Under this agreement, the UAE will invest 10 billion pounds in the “sovereign investment partnership” between the two countries, which is supervised by the UK Investment Office and Mubadala Investment Company.. During the next five years, this partnership will focus on pumping major investments in three new sectors, namely technology infrastructure and renewable energy.
