It was on Friday last week that the municipality announced that several people in the nursing home were tested positive for covid-19.

A restraining order was introduced, but on Monday it was lifted and booked visits were introduced instead.

On 31 May, the municipalities' ability to request permission from the Swedish Public Health Agency to temporarily ban visits to special housing for the elderly ceased.

Askersund's decision was thus illegal.

- We made a wrong decision in the heat of the moment, says Maria Ståhl, social manager in Askersund municipality to P4 Örebro.
