The investigation began in 2019 after a theft in Mulhouse.

The tracing of a stolen cell phone and a photo taken from a video of a hotel in Illzach, had made it possible to trace the thieves.

The latter were also at the origin of thefts in Lyon, Paris, Lille… According to the statements of the victims, the damages would amount to nearly 104,000 euros.

The main instigator of the trio, author of nearly 80 thefts, was sentenced to 4 years, and his associates from 12 months to 3 years in prison.

They will also have to reimburse several thousand euros to the victims.
