When the police task force entered the lock and overpowered the two patients, an incident analysis was started to find out what had happened in detail.

When SVT reaches Jörgen Bragner on Wednesday night, the analysis is still far from complete.

But a fairly clear picture of what happened has emerged.

- We think they wanted to get out of the hospital.

But they did not get anywhere.

One of the patients regretted it pretty soon and wanted to return to his ward, but it was not possible when both were sitting in the lock, says Jörgen Bragner.

Even though the patients had gotten out of the lock, they had still been inside the hospital in the security area.

Follow the procedures

He says that you should talk more with the patients on Thursday to find out if there was something else behind it.

At the same time, they continue to follow up if all routines have been followed.

- As we see it so far, there is nothing to indicate that the routines have not been followed.

It is a difficult business where we are close to the patients.

If someone becomes violent without warning, it is difficult to have routines for it.

But the routines around the department were followed, says Jörgen Bragner.

How could the patients have access to the shelter?

- Because they locked themselves in, because that was basically what happened when they locked themselves in the lock, then they had plenty of time to take things off.

Among other things, they got hold of a fire extinguisher, it will be a form of shelter, says Jörgen Bragner.

Dazed

The staff who were subjected to violence have survived without serious physical injuries but are dizzy.

Jörgen Bragner says that the staff is refined and experienced.

At the same time, it is unusual for this to happen.

- It is extremely unusual.

During the five years I have been here, nothing similar has happened.

Many years ago, it was a police operation, but then the task force was not needed.
