China News Service, September 15th. The Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council held a regular press conference on the 15th. Spokesperson Zhu Fenglian revealed that as of August 31, more than 156,000 Taiwanese compatriots in mainland China had been vaccinated, and a total of more than 290,000 doses had been vaccinated. .

A reporter asked that the BNT vaccines have been shipped to Taiwan a few days ago, and people on the island will be able to administer them smoothly.

At the same time, many Taiwan compatriots in the mainland have already been vaccinated, and overseas Taiwan compatriots have also been vaccinated with the assistance of embassies and consulates.

I would like to ask the spokesperson to introduce the situation and progress in this regard.

Zhu Fenglian introduced that as of September 13, the mainland had received more than 2.152 billion doses of new coronavirus vaccine.

As of August 31, more than 156,000 Taiwanese compatriots in mainland China had been vaccinated, with a total of more than 290,000 doses.

According to the unified arrangement of local vaccination, some places have begun to vaccinate 12 to 17-year-old students from Taiwan in mainland China.

In the mainland, no one is worried about not being able to get the vaccine. Even overseas compatriots, including compatriots in Taiwan, can give priority to domestic vaccines.

At present, the "Spring Seed Operation" has assisted thousands of overseas Taiwan compatriots in vaccinating domestic or foreign vaccines in dozens of countries including Thailand, Vietnam, Georgia, and Mauritius.

Zhu Fenglian mentioned that until now a vaccine on the island of Taiwan is still hard to find.

We have repeatedly expressed our willingness to do our utmost to help Taiwan compatriots respond to the epidemic and make vaccines available to Taiwan compatriots. This is still our biggest concern at the moment.

It is hoped that the DPP authorities will stop politics from overriding science, and put the interests of the people of Taiwan first and take practical actions to protect their lives, health and well-being.
