This was reported by the press service of the President of Tajikistan.

It is noted that all topical aspects of cooperation were discussed, including the military and military-technical sphere.

The message says that "the current military-political situation in Afghanistan has become the subject of special attention of the parties."

"At the same time, an exchange of views took place on the situation on the Tajik-Afghan border, and it was considered necessary to continue contacts at various levels to prevent threats and dangers, as well as to strengthen border protection," the press service said.

Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan said that they did not plan to involve the forces of the CSTO to guard the border with Afghanistan.
