A man in his 60s has been stabbed, beaten with a hammer and robbed of his moped in Västerås.
The man was stopped by three men in a forest area in the eastern parts of Västerås at around 8 p.m.
The police were called there.
- When we meet him, it turns out that he has been stabbed in the leg and beaten with a hammer in the head.
It is a gross robbery, says police spokesman Magnus Jansson Klarin.
- He has quite serious injuries, but nothing life-threatening in any case.
Several police patrols have been out looking for the robbers, but no one has been arrested yet.
The robbed man is said to have been able to communicate after the attack and will be heard at the hospital.
