“When approaching Pulkovo airport, the [Airbus] A319 plane, which was flying SU6694 Antalya - Pulkovo, got into a flock of birds,” the airline said.
It is noted that because of this, one of the aircraft's engines went into an abnormal mode.
According to the North-West Transport Prosecutor's Office, the plane landed safely, 95 passengers and 6 crew members were not injured.
According to the supervisory authority, people have already left the aircraft.
Earlier it was reported that a plane flying from Antalya safely landed in Pulkovo, the crew of which reported a malfunction of one of the engines.
