“The prosecutor’s office of the Karachayevsky region organized an inspection in connection with the descent of a glacier in the Alibek gorge in the village of Dobmay,” the message says.

As noted, a group of 6 tourists was injured during the incident, one of whom was killed.

Earlier there was information that as a result of the descent of a glacier in the mountains of Karachay-Cherkessia, one tourist died, two more were injured.

Later, the prosecutor's office confirmed that one person died and five more were injured during the descent of a glacier in the gorge of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic.
