Recently, the body of US Marine Corps Sergeant Johanny Rosario Pichardo flew to Boston Logan Airport, Massachusetts.

  Pichardo, 25, was one of 13 American soldiers killed in a suicide bomb attack at Kabul Airport in Afghanistan in August. She was posthumously awarded the Purple Heart.

  Her coffin was lifted off the plane by fellow Marines and will be buried in her hometown of Lawrence.

  Pichardo was one of the last American soldiers to return to the United States after the attack.

  According to statistics from the United States, the war in Afghanistan killed 2461 American soldiers and American citizens and injured more than 20,000 others.

More than 46,000 Afghan civilians died in the war, and about 11 million people became refugees.
