The groom went to fetch water, so the bride ran away with money and jewels

In another Indian movie drama, an Indian bride escapes with cash and jewels belonging to her groom and in-laws in the state of Uttar Pradesh in Minburi.

The case, which is similar to the plot of director Sonam Kapoor's 2015 film Dolly Ki Doli, happened when a newlywed bride was on her way to her in-laws' home with her husband.

This incident was reported from Barawonka village in Minpuri Pewar police station area, where a marriage of a young man named Raju was arranged through a marriage broker.

At first, the broker put a condition in front of Raju's father, asking him to pay 80,000 rupees to the girl, and Raju's father agreed to the condition so that he could marry his son.

According to the deal, a young woman married Raju at the Shetla Dham temple on August 17, after taking the money.

Additionally, Raju's father, Rajendra, gave clothes, jewelry and many gifts to his daughter-in-law.

After the wedding ceremony, which was not documented, Raju left for his house with the new bride.

When the couple arrived at the bus stop to get on the bus, the bride said she was thirsty and asked Raju to bring her a bottle of water.

When the groom Raju returned with the bottle of water, he was so shocked that the bride had disappeared and had taken everything with her.

Feeling deceived and cheated, he registered a complaint against her with the police.
