The new coronavirus regulation of the state of Hesse represents a system change, as Prime Minister Bouffier says meaningfully.

While an escalation concept was previously in effect, a step model is now being presented that focuses on those suffering from Covid in clinics.

The incidence, however, the benchmark value that has almost become dear to us, which provided information about the number of infections in the population, seems to only play a minor role.

The new order raises questions because the view into the future is determined by parameters that the population first has to get to know.

The state government remains vague about what would result in exceeding the first or even the second stage in this model.

An almost normal way of dealing with one another

The only thing that shines out of the thicket of regulations, which again require new learning and adjustments, is the 2-G option, which was decided nationwide: From Thursday on, hairdressers, restaurateurs and organizers can decide whether they only want to let in vaccinated and convalescent people.

A quick test, which can still be obtained free of charge in many places until mid-October, would then no longer be an admission ticket.

For the unvaccinated this would be a disadvantage, but for the vast majority of the vaccinated it is finally a ray of hope after all these months of deprivation. The 2-G rule stipulates that not only the distance rules apply, but that the masks are also allowed to go down. Just imagine: after a year and a half we can look our hairdresser in the face again, see the smile of the waiter when we are happy about the meal. What we are already enjoying on café terraces, we could save into winter in this way: an almost normal way of dealing with one another. Of course, the 2-G rule also represents a hurdle for the owners. On the one hand, all employees must be vaccinated or recovered, and on the other hand, the vaccination status of the guests should be checked. But those who get involved could create real added value for their customers.Hopefully there will be many.
