Ennahda: Said went too far in violating the constitution

The head of the Political Crisis Management Committee of the Tunisian Ennahda Movement, Mohamed Al-Qumani, expressed his refusal to suspend or change the constitution, stressing his party's openness to changing some chapters of the constitution.

Al-Qumani described - in statements to a local radio station - that Tunisia remained without a government for a month and a half as a surreal situation, as he described it.

He believed that the President of the Republic, Qais Saeed, went too far in violating the constitution, and entered the country into new labyrinths - according to his expression - asking him to clarify his position regarding the political system, and criticizing what he considered inconsistent in the views of the presidency in this regard.

Al-Qomani also called on the president to abide by the constitution and to go to early legislative and presidential elections.
