The UAE has included 38 individuals and 15 companies on a list of people and entities it considers supportive of terrorism, and said it is keen to target "networks associated with the financing of terrorism."

The names mentioned by the Emirates News Agency, on Monday, include: 4 Emiratis, 8 Yemenis, 4 Syrians, two people from Lebanon, two others from Iraq, and 5 from Iran, as well as individuals from Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Afghanistan, India and Britain.

The agency said that the Council of Ministers issued a decision to include these personalities and companies in the approved list of persons, entities and organizations that support terrorism.

She added that the decision comes within the framework of "the UAE's keenness to target and disrupt networks associated with the financing of terrorism and the activities associated with it."

The decision obligates all supervisory authorities to follow up and account for any individuals or entities associated with any financial, commercial or technical relationship, and to take the necessary measures according to the laws in force in the country in less than 24 hours.
