Philippe Croizon, the famous disabled French adventurer, will attend the takeoff of a SpaceX rocket on Wednesday.

He will then spend time with Elon Musk, who promised him on Twitter to send him to space.

Philippe Croizon could thus become the first para-astronaut in history.

After crossing the Channel and the Dakar rally, a trip to space?

It is in any case the dream of Philippe Croizon, amputated of his legs and his feet after being electrocuted at the age of 25 years.

The adventurer is currently in the United States, and will attend the first orbiting for several days of a capsule with tourists on board.

A first step before his own departure.

He could thus become the first disabled person to go to space thanks to his friendship with Elon Musk.

It was Philippe Croizon who challenged famous SpaceX boss Elon Musk on Twitter.

"I tweeted Elon Musk: 'I have no arms, no legs, I'm an adventurer, send me to space'. A few hours later, Elon Musk responds to me and says' Promise I'm sending you to space. 'I really hope to be the first para-astronaut in history. "

The adventurer's handicap poses a significant challenge, however.

Elon Musk would have asked Philippe Croizon to provide something so that it hangs in the capsule.

"We thought about prostheses," he explained.

"I come up with ideas, to make it feasible."
