- It's a little sad that not more people test themselves, when you can do it for free, says Kajsa Ekefjord, Södertäljebo.

In the Cancer Foundation's report, the Stockholm Region stands out, as participation in screening for breast cancer is lowest in Sweden - only 71 percent choose to get tested.

In Södertälje municipality, the figure is even lower - 65 percent.

The average in Sweden is 81 percent.

In the report, the Cancer Foundation also looks at how many people are being tested for cervical cancer.

In Södertälje, it is 48 percent, which is the lowest in the region and lower than the national average, where 71 percent test themselves.

In the Stockholm Region as a whole, the figure is 58 percent.
