The first point is that it should be a mixed game between the sexes.
The second point was about increasing the balance between the sexes in the game.
- Some suggestions were that there should always be someone out on the track or that girls should have a handicap when hitting.
But there opinions differ when some think it is worth trying while others think it feels good that there are the same rules for girls and boys.
Something we all agreed on was to increase the gender balance by increasing the participants to at least three girls and three boys in each team, says Fredrik Sahl.
Different rules for different cups
During the fireball cup, it is the fireball acid itself that decides its rules.
According to yrans cup general Gustav Pettersson, they will try to adapt to how participants want the sport.
- That there will be a change that strengthens women's place in the game, we will do, but we have no ready-made solution today.
What we saw in the final this year when girls stood over blows is not something I want the audience to see and no message we want to send out, says Gustav Pettersson.
Proposal for consultation
The proposals will be sent out to those who are active in fireball games in Umeå for discussion.
No decisions have been made yet and the proposals after Sunday's meeting, but the various proposals for rule changes will continue to be discussed for the 2022 fireball cup.
