In the heart of the capital, on Avenue Habib Bourguiba, the president offered himself one of those crowd baths he loves.

Addressing his supporters and a handful of media, Kaïs Saïed clarified his intentions.

He seems to evoke the track of amendments

for the Constitution

.

 “

We have to make changes within the framework of the Constitution.

Constitutions are not eternal, they can be changed!

The changes must suit the Tunisian people, because after all, sovereignty belongs to them,

 ”he declared.

And to have his constitutional revisions adopted, Kaïs Saïed could therefore resort to a referendum.

The Head of State would also be on the verge of announcing the formation of a government: "

I ensure the choice of people, that the designated people are honest, loyal, do not betray their promises,

 " he said. added.

Seven weeks ago, Mr. Saïed assumed all executive powers, and froze the activity of Parliament.
