The pro-violence Islamist groups have grown in recent years in Sweden.

The environments have gone from including hundreds to thousands of people, and among the so-called IS returnees are individuals who could pose a threat, according to Säpo.

- The security police follow up all based on assessments that are made.

They are done partly immediately when a person returns but also continuously, says Säpo's press manager Karl Melin.

According to Säpo, there are people who have returned to radical circles after returning to Sweden, but we do not know how many people it is about or what roles they have.

- I can state that there are people who can support activities in different ways.

There are also people who can try to attract others to join different types of organizations and associations.

Recruitment to extremist environments, quite simply.

Do we need to be afraid?

- We in the Security Police are constantly working to try to prevent something very serious from happening.

We do this around the clock, every day, all year round.

- It is always about making assessments.

Is there an intention and an ability to commit possible terrorist crimes ?, says Karl Melin.
