In 1851, Frigga Carlberg was born in a house on the town hall square in Falkenberg.

The struggle for her rights as a woman began early - in the struggle to educate herself against her father's will, and she succeeded.

Later she moved to Gothenburg where she became a controversial women's rights activist.

This year it has been 100 years since women were allowed to exercise their right to vote for the first time in 1921 parliamentary elections.

What then made Frigga Carlberg so unique? See Eva Bergengren tell in the clip above.
