24 billion dirhams to employ 75,000 citizens in the private sector within 5 years

The UAE government launched the second package of the fifty initiatives and projects announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Commander The Supreme Council of the Armed Forces at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi, in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, several ministers and officials from the relevant authorities, and the participation of local, regional and international media.


The second package included 13 new projects in the sector of job localization in the private sector, by allocating 24 billion dirhams for a national program called “Nafis” aimed at absorbing and employing 75,000 male and female citizens in the private sector during the next five years, while providing the necessary government support for those enrolled in private sector jobs.


One billion and 200 million dirhams have also been allocated for specialized and professional training programs for young citizens in a number of specialties and professions needed by the labor market in the country, in addition to motivating citizens to go towards self-employment through a new project that grants citizen employees in the federal government the possibility of obtaining full-time leave for « Self-employment” with the support of 50% of the salaries borne by the government, as well as a project that gives citizen employees in the federal government the possibility of early retirement “50 years” to devote themselves to managing private projects with the government bearing the difference in retirement years.
