intentions of the mayor of Paris were clear

In July, Anne Hidalgo thus hinted that she did not wish to declare herself before October.

The political comeback has upset his plans

But the political re-entry has upset his plans, notably with the entry into the running of his former PS comrade Arnaud Montebourg in early September.

No more question for the mayor of the capital to waste time, while his rating stagnates in the polls.

Impossible to declare itself during the congress of the Socialist Party, on September 18 and 19, because Anne Hidalgo wants to be a candidate beyond the framework of her political formation.

The following two weeks being occupied by the primary of environmentalists, only the window of this weekend remained.

It was still necessary to find the right place: it will finally be Rouen.

The Norman city has two advantages.

She is not Paris, and the mayor of the capital wanted to avoid mixing genres.

And it is led by Nicolas Mayer-Rossignol, a member of this new generation of socialist mayors on which Anne Hidalgo will rely heavily for her campaign.
