On Friday, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu received his Qatari counterpart, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, in the capital, Ankara. The two ministers discussed recent developments in Afghanistan, and Qatari-Turkish aid to this country to restart Kabul International Airport.

This morning I met my brother @MevlutCavusoglu in Ankara to discuss his visions and perspectives on #Afghanistan.

I am pleased with the results of our fruitful cooperation on the Kabul airport, which has contributed to the resumption of the safe evacuation of civilians, and created a link between Afghanistan and the outside world.
