The government has submitted a memorandum proposing that vaccination certificates can be used when needed.

"On Tuesday, the Public Health Agency announced that they assess that step 4 in the government's plan for the abolition of restrictions can be taken on September 29, 2021. Then we also announced that we would soon refer this proposal," said Minister of Social Affairs Lena Hallengren in a written comment to SVT .

She continues:

“We need to be prepared if the situation should deteriorate and then there may be reasons to introduce an option to use vaccination certificates.

Now we will listen to the consultative bodies ”.

No date nailed

Most coronary restrictions in Sweden will be removed on September 29, including the participant ceilings, and the government therefore wants the vaccination certificate to be ready to be used at larger gatherings - if the epidemiological situation deteriorates.

No date for entry into force is therefore proposed, the government explains in a press release.

Children and young people are excluded

The Government proposes that children and young people under the age of 16 and persons who, due to medical reasons, should not be vaccinated against covid-19 should not have to present vaccination proof.
