According to Nuland, during Barack Obama's presidency in the United States, she, along with other US officials, participated in a "parallel process" that took place simultaneously with the "Norman negotiations."
She stated that Washington supported the goals and aspirations discussed by Kiev and Moscow.
Nor does Nuland believe that "all those efforts have moved a lot lately."
“I think we told Ukraine, Russia and the Europeans that we are ready to resume interaction in some way - either within the framework of the Normandy format, or again as parallel support in the event that and as necessary, the parties will see a way through which we will be useful, ”the US Undersecretary of State said.
Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said that the Ukrainian authorities are working on the preparation of a new summit in the Normandy format.
