"Antonov addressed the students of the Center for International Security and Cooperation at Stanford University," the diplomatic mission said in a Facebook post.
It is noted that the ambassador answered questions from the audience about the current state of relations between Russia and the United States.
The event was moderated by former US Undersecretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Rose Gottemoeller and former US Ambassador to Ukraine Stephen Pifer.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the United States continues to consider itself entitled to impose an internal agenda on Russia.
