Anders Ygeman on lack of mobile coverage: "Everyone should have good coverage in 2023"

The Swedish Post and Telecom Agency's assignment is based on three sub-assignments.

• PTS shall analyze the need for support for measures that improve functional telephony and the Internet, and in particular look at the amount limits for state support that exist for the measures, and possibly review adjustments of the amount limits.

• PTS shall inform consumers about what they themselves can take for measures to improve their connection.

• PTS shall make random measurements from the operators' mobile coverage maps.

Anders Ygeman claims that everyone in the country should have a good connection where they usually live and work in 2023.

- If, on the advice of PTS, you still do not have a reception at the place where you live, for example, then the mobile network must be expanded so that you receive a reception.

We have specially set aside money for this in the city budget, says Anders Ygeman.

The assignment to PTS must be reported to the Government Offices no later than 14 December 2021.
