Following yesterday (9th), SBS will deliver the results of the poll.

As a result of asking about the revision of the Media Arbitration Act promoted by the Democratic Party, it came out that there were a lot of positive and negative opinions.

However, the prevailing opinion was that the bill should be dealt with by consensus, even if it takes time.

Reporter Han Se-hyeon reports.

<Reporter> We

asked what you think of the 'Revision of the Media Arbitration Act', which stipulates up to five times punitive damages.

For practical relief from the damage caused by false or manipulated reports, 41.3% were in favor, and 45.8% were against it, as the side effect of damaging constitutional principles such as freedom of the press was greater.

By ideological orientation, 'agree' for progressives and 'against' for conservatives were dominant, but the middle class had relatively more 'disagree' answers.

So, how should the bill be handled?

'According to the announcement of the ruling and opposition parties, it will be dealt with at the National Assembly plenary session on the 27th,' 23.5%, and 'the opposition and opposition will process the agreement even if the date is delayed' 69%, three times more opinions.

[Jang Hyeon-joo / Next Research Opinion Office Advisory Committee: This seems to reflect the negative perception that the ruling party unilaterally enforces handling on issues with differing opinions.]

Regarding Rep. Yoon Hee-sook, who announced his resignation as a member of the National Assembly on suspicion of 'violating his father's farmland law', opinions differed as to 'reasonable and responsible behavior' and 'irresponsible behavior to cover up the suspicions related to him'.

In the era of the 4th corona virus, with around 2,000 new confirmed cases per day, the question of whether social distancing should be strengthened was 'strengthened than now' 24 and 'maintained at the current level' 66.1%.

This survey was commissioned by SBS and Nextresearch, a polling company, and 1,005 voters nationwide through wired and wireless telephone interview surveys from the 6th to the 7th received responses, and the sampling error is ±3.1%p at the 95% confidence level.
