The French volleyball players, Olympic champions a month ago in Tokyo, rounded off the 1st round of the Euro in Tallinn with a fifth victory in as many games, winning against Estonia 3 sets to 0 (25-18 , 25-17, 25-19), Thursday.
After this perfectly mastered first round, the French will head to the Czech Republic to play in Ostrava their round of 16 scheduled for Monday.
It will either be against the Bulgarians or against the Czechs, depending on the outcome of the match between Italy and the Czech Republic in the evening in Ostrava.
With this first place in Group D, secured before going on the pitch on Thursday, Benjamin Toniutti's teammates find themselves in the half of the table of the Poles, double reigning world champions (2014 and 2018) and who play at home between Gdansk for 8th and quarterfinals, and Katowice for the final weekend.
