Two men tried for a burglary committed in Saint-Cyr-l'Ecole (Yvelines) were sentenced to 6 months in prison by the court of Versailles on Tuesday.

The facts date back to September 3, reports 78 Actu.

The two defendants burgled a house but were surprised by the occupant.

They then fled with a computer and a cell phone and took refuge in a squat where there was already a third man.

"The funk of our life"

They fell asleep but he quickly woke them up screaming and brandishing a gun.

"This guy gave us the scares of our life," said one of them during the hearing.

The duo once again fled before being caught by the police.

Residents who had seen the man armed with a rifle in the garden of the abandoned house had indeed warned the police.

The madman, overpowered by the Raid agents at the time of the events, was placed in a psychiatric hospital.
