A 17-year-old young man was slightly injured by police fire on Wednesday evening in Tourcoing, in the North.

He had refused to comply and then moved back by car in their direction, we learned, Thursday, from a police source.

According to the firefighters of the departmental fire and rescue service (Sdis) of the North, he was "transported in a light condition to the Lille University Hospital".

The police source also indicated that the teenager had been taken in charge by the emergency services and examined at the hospital, but that "his injury did not cause any concern".

He was then taken into police custody.
