With our correspondent in Islamabad,

Sonia Ghezali

Mina has participated in several protests that have taken place in Kabul against the Taliban in recent days.

I wasn't scared the first time around and the Taliban didn't stop us that day,

” she says.

But I was very scared the second time around when the Taliban started hitting the women and throwing tear gas.

I saw a demonstrator seriously injured because a Taliban hit her on the head with an electric cable.

Manija, a poet and civil society activist, was whipped in the neck on Wednesday by the Taliban as she filmed the feminist march in which she was taking part in Kabul.

My family is very conservative, so if I could fight against my family for my rights, I can definitely fight against the Taliban,

” she argues.

Since the day the Taliban arrived, I have been going out for no reason, just to be seen by them in the street and to show them that they cannot lock me up at home.

I want to tell them that if I could face my family then I can definitely face them.

 "

Manija is convinced that the Taliban will become more and more violent.

"

I have no more hope for Afghanistan,

" she said.
