Since Wednesday, September 8, a forest fire has ravaged the Sierra Bermeja mountain range.
Almost 800 people have been forced to evacuate from nearby towns.
Several of the villages in the area are popular tourist destinations.

I had to leave my budgies, says local resident Christina Zamora, who hurried to the streets carrying her cat.
An elderly British man living in the area was escorted by police before jumping into a car with his wife and dog.
