Police officers from the anti-crime brigade (BAC) intervened on Tuesday for a barbecue organized on the public highway, in Rouen (Seine-Maritime), reports 76 Actu.

The police, arriving on the spot, identified a Fiat 500 driving at high speed and in the wrong direction.

A chase has started.

The four people in the vehicle would have "called the young people around to oppose the police", according to a judicial source cited by our colleagues.

Stone throws and tear gas canisters

The BAC car was allegedly targeted, the victim of stone throwing.

To disperse the crowd, the police used tear gas canisters.

This ambush still allowed the young people who were in the Fiat 500 to escape on foot.

Two of them were arrested, the driver, who was driving without a license, and a passenger.

The two suspects, aged 25 and 27, were taken into custody for provocation to rebellion, refusal to comply and group violence against persons in public authority.
