5000 dirhams fine for refusing to conduct a “PCR” upon request

The updated regulation recently issued by the Attorney General regarding controlling violations and administrative penalties, to limit the spread of the “Corona” virus, tightened the penalty for a number of violations, including refusal to conduct a medical examination, or abuse of the right to examination, as it stipulated the imposition of a fine of 5000 Dhs in the event of refusal or refusal to conduct the periodic examination (PCR), on the specified date or upon request from the concerned authorities.

A fine of 1,000 dirhams was imposed in the event of a violation of the medical re-examination of the “Corona” virus within two weeks, or within the period specified by the concerned authorities at the government health laboratories, without reason or without a request from the concerned authorities.

The regulation stressed the violation of the practice of examination work and receiving samples without approval from the concerned authorities, as it stipulated a fine of 20 thousand dirhams imposed on the natural person, legal person or responsible for management, if the facility is an individual, and the fine is doubled in case of repetition, with the closure of the facility. The violation is for a period of three months, subject to extension, in the event that any natural or legal person carries out the activities of conducting medical examinations or analyzes, or taking or receiving samples for the detection of the “Corona” virus, or announcing this by any means without obtaining the approval of the concerned authorities.
