China News Service, Paris, September 8. Two more shooting incidents occurred in the southern French city of Marseille from late night on September 7th to early morning on September 8th local time, causing 2 deaths and 2 injuries.

The police are investigating the two new shooting incidents.

The first shooting occurred at around 11:30 on the night of the 7th. The victim was a 23-year-old man who was shot and killed by a 9mm bullet in the center of Marseille.

  The second shooting incident occurred at 2 am on the 8th. The victim was a 25-year-old man who was shot while driving through the 13th district of Marseille with his fellow passengers. They managed to hide in a nearby building. When arriving, the victim had already been killed due to his injuries.

  Initial investigations by the police found that the two shootings were not related.

There have been frequent shootings in Marseilles recently. There were two shootings in succession on August 22, resulting in the deaths of three people.

When French President Macron visited Marseille on September 1, he promised to invest 150 million euros in the local police to improve local security and combat crime.
