On Tuesday, the government announced a message of joy - for those who longed for lifted restrictions.

Restrictions on audience numbers will be released from 29 September.

At the same time, it was announced that from the date, the Swedish Public Health Agency will no longer recommend homework for those who can.

However, several of Sweden's larger companies are looking cautiously at the autumn.

- For Volvo Cars, the same applies as just before the summer holidays, ie the office is the primary workplace for salaried employees.

It has been a gradual return starting on June 1, says Volvo cars' press manager Karin Wik.

"See you soon at the offices"

The telecom giant Telia has also previously had staff on site.

- Our offices have been open throughout the period with some business-critical operations on site such as customer service and operational monitoring, otherwise we have worked from home.

Our hope is that we can soon meet in the offices, says Telia's press officer Mattias Borrelid.

Hybrid model

How corona pandemic's homework has affected future views on how jobs are done is of course too early to say.

Among the companies surveyed, there are those who believe in a combined office / home variant.

- This flexible way of working supports up to two days of telework per week, whenever possible and depending on the team.

This is a guideline and there will be exceptions, says Nordea's press communicator Mikaela Grönlund.

The bank reasons SEB in the same way.

- We will allow for increased flexibility in terms of homework when the restrictions introduced due to the pandemic have been lifted.

This means that the bank's employees will be able to combine work in the office with the opportunity to work up to two days a week from a place other than the office, says SEB's press officer Niklas Magnusson.

"Spending two weeks"

On SVT, you choose to add a little restriction margin yourself.

- We plan to go back October 15.

We have always said that we follow the Swedish Public Health Agency's recommendations, then we choose to add two weeks.

This is something we had ready and just waited for information from the authorities, says communications director Sabina Rasiwala.
