Two young men were arrested and placed in police custody on the night of Saturday 4 to Sunday 5 September in Le Havre in Seine-Maritime.

They were allegedly caught in the act of stealing gasoline by the police, reports 76actu.

The facts allegedly occurred shortly before 4 a.m. that night.

The police reportedly spotted the suspects as they siphoned off a Renault Twingo, reports the news site.

The latter would then have fled, one on a scooter and the other in a black vehicle.

Soon brought to justice

Hounded, the fugitive in two-wheeled vehicle was finally caught by the police.

A person inside it would have been named as the second suspect.

The two suspected thieves are from Le Havre and are between 17 and 18 years old.
