Young adults between the ages of 20 and 29 are lagging behind in vaccination, Örebro University announced last week.

To increase the vaccination rate, students at the university have been offered drop-in vaccination during the beginning of the week.

- I hope that many take the chance to get vaccinated now.

We welcome both you who have already taken the first dose at your place of residence and those who want to take their first vaccine dose now, says Inger Nordin Olsson, regional vaccine coordinator in the Örebro County Region.

Important to be able to open up again

According to the university, it is important that the vaccination rate rises in order to be able to return to normal during the autumn.

- The autumn term started on Monday and right now it is our new students who receive tuition on site, while the others study digitally at a distance.

The fact that more people are being vaccinated increases the chance that we can open the university gradually during the autumn and return to teaching on campus from 8 November, says Louise Pålsson, university director.

Students who have not had the opportunity to be vaccinated during the drop-in vaccination are referred to Region Örebro County's other vaccination clinics.
