A man in Europe is attracting attention after successfully completing an operation to remove a cell phone from his body.

According to foreign media such as US Newsweek on the 3rd local time, a 33-year-old man living in Pristina, Kosovo, felt stomach pain after swallowing a cell phone and visited a nearby hospital.

The cell phone he swallowed is the Nokia 3310 model released in September 2000, which is durable enough to be called a 'brick phone' at the time.

It is not known what caused Mr. A to swallow his cell phone.

The medical staff decided to take the cell phone out of Mr. A's body, considering the fact that the cell phone is large and difficult to digest, and that corrosive substances leak from the battery can be life-threatening.

The operation to remove the cell phone was performed for about two hours, four days after the man visited the hospital. Medical staff succeeded in separating the cell phone into three parts with a special endoscope without performing open surgery.

Doctor Skender Telaku, who led the operation, posted a picture of a Nokia cell phone taken from the man's body on Facebook on the 31st of last month and left an 'I'm happy' emoticon.

Telaku also said, "A 33-year-old man who had a cell phone in his body completed the operation without complications.

This is a 'news pick'.
