Actor Jean-Paul Belmondo, who has appeared in numerous French films such as the movie "Breathless" and gained popularity for his wide range of acting, has passed away.

Jean-Paul Belmondo was born in 1933 in the suburbs of Paris, France, to the parents of an artist.



He has been interested in theater since he was a teenager, and while studying at the National Academy of Dramatic Arts, he appeared on stage and in movies, and his acting ability was gradually evaluated.



Then, he became a star by playing the main character in "Breathless" released in 1960 by director Jean-Luc Godard, the flag bearer of Nouvelle Berg, who breathed new life into the French movie world.



After that, he appeared in action and comedy movies such as "That Man from Rio" and expanded his range of acting, sharing popularity with French actor Alain Delon of the same generation.



Belmond suffered from a cerebral infarction in 2001, but after recovering, he appeared in the film again, and in 2011, he won the highest award at the Cannes Film Festival, one of the three major film festivals in the world. Received the Honorary Palme d'Or.



According to Mr. Belmond's lawyer, Mr. Belmond was recently weakened and was receiving medical treatment at his home in Paris, but on the 6th, he took a quiet breath while being watched by his family.
